In an interview with Motor Vikatan, AL Vijay confirmed the project, saying, “As soon as I came on board, Ajith sir said, 'welcome to my world'." The filmmaker also stated that the world of racing is a do-or-die situation. He added, “Ajith sir told me you need to come out alive at the end of the race." Notably, the filmmaker did not confirm whether this will be a film or a documentary.
Further revealing his understanding of the world of motor sports, he said, "After seeing him live in action, the respect I have towards him increased. And Ajith sir is giving so much into the sport. He is going to be a motorsport icon in India. Ajith sir is a trendsetter." The director further praised Ajith's endurance and dedication to it, saying, "Filming the project is a new experience, but what we are witnessing here is truly challenging. When I saw Ajith sir, he seemed like he was taking a break, but in reality, he wasn't; he was actually thinking about the race." Talking about his humility, he added, "I saw him picking papers and putting it in the dustbin... such is his humility."
