In an interview with Vogue, Samantha reflected on how the past few years have been transformative. She recalled, “When I went through a separation, I closed up completely. I didn’t think it would ever be possible to rely on someone else.”
She added, “Thankfully, I was vulnerable enough to accept that kind of love and friendship. And I’m a much better person because of the relationship I’m in, because of the person Raj Nidimoru is.”

Shedding light on her life post-marriage, she revealed having an elaborate morning routine before meeting Raj Nidimoru. “I wake up, pray, get some sunlight and meditate, so I get about one and a half hours to myself before I meet Raj.”

The actress also spoke about her camaraderie with Raj on set. “Raj and I really are that irritating couple that does everything together,” Samantha laughed. “We work together, we play together, and we work out together. And we love it. If I have to travel for even a day, I’m like… [pretends to swoon in distress]. I don’t think it’s the honeymoon phase. Too much time has passed for it to be that.”
She feels that her husband’s presence on set has helped her unlock a new level of acting. “Even if I embarrass myself, he can’t leave me.” Giving an example of how he helps hone her craft, she added, “Leonardo DiCaprio keeps working with Martin Scorsese, and his performances keep getting more layered. I think I’m becoming a better actor because Raj is around.”
Samantha on Maa Inti Bangaaram
The actress is all set to grace the screen with another powerful role in her forthcoming drama Maa Inti Bangaaram. The much-talked-about Tollywood film will reach audiences on May 15 this year.
Sharing her experience of performing action in the film, she said, “I haven’t fought in a saree before, so that was definitely challenging,” the actor laughed. “Also, because I’ve produced this film myself under Tralala Moving Pictures, the budget had to be kept super tight. We finished shooting the bus fight scene in five hours, whereas it usually takes around two days. It was quite stressful.”
