Actor Sivakarthikeyan, a well-known face in the Tamil film industry, recently addressed his fans while speaking at the launch of an entertainment app in Chennai. Sivakarthiyean urges fans to not worship him

Sivakarthikeyan addressed the people who admire him and look up to him. He urged them to follow self-discipline and chase meaningful pursuits. He also advised them against getting distracted by social media and encouraged them to use their time constructively.

The actor asked fans not to worship him. He said, “I don't ask for worship; worship only your parents and God.” He also told fans not to be swayed by online comments or discussions and to spend their energy on useful activities instead of dwelling on negativity.

When Ajith requested fans to stop idol worshiping

Earlier, Ajith had also commented on the growing fan culture and asked fans to stop idolising actors and focus on themselves. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said, “My request to fans: watch films, everything is fine. But Ajith vaazhga, Vijay vaazhga... neenga eppo vaazha poreenga? (Long live Ajith, long live Vijay... but when are you going to live your life?) I’m grateful for the love you've given me. But please look after your life. I’ll be a happy man when I know my fans are also doing well in their lives, and when they are kind to my peers and co-stars.”

He added, “Life is very short. Our great-grandchildren are not going to remember us. So, keep this in mind. Live for the day. Don’t look at the past and worry. Don’t look at the future and stress. Live in the moment. Because one day we will all die—that’s the truth. Let’s just work hard and be happy. Be healthy, physically and mentally. Love you all.”

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for Sudha Kongara's directorial Parasakthi. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 14, 2026.
