Telugu actress Sreeleela is facing backlash from a section of users on the internet over her recent remark on periods. The internet schooled the actress, who recently graduated with an MBBS degree and became a qualified doctor, calling her remarks insensitive. 

Sreeleela faces backlash for her remark

At the Ustaad Bhagat Singh Success party, when asked about the biggest challenge and how she overcame it as a woman, the 24-year-old actress said that 'period is not an excuse' for women. She further added that emotional quotient (EQ) can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, while explaining that she sometimes pushes herself even when she feels vulnerable.
