Nani-starrer The Paradise has taken an impressive start at the box office despite underwhelming reviews. The high-octane action entertainer has scored the biggest opening of Nani's career and has surpassed the records of some all-time Telugu and Hindi blockbusters. The film had a solid start in both India and overseas, largely due to its original Telugu version.

On Wednesday, the Nani-starrer earned Rs 11.60 crore in paid previews, one of the biggest in any film this year. Then, on Thursday, The Paradise raked in Rs 34.60 crore net to its haul. With this, its domestic opening-day haul has reached Rs 46 crore net, and India's gross collection stands at Rs 55 crore. This is undoubtedly one of Nani's best in his career. However, the film's Tamil and Hindi versions failed to leave a mark, collectively collecting Rs 4 crore net so far and leaving the Telugu version to do all the work.
