The enthusiasm for Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film OG is on cloud nine among his fans, who are rushing to theatres to witness the actioner. However, the film has faced controversy, as several states hiked ticket prices for the premiere shows. Now, the movie has become the centre of attention for another reason — Pawan Kalyan’s fans in Bengaluru damaged cinema screens during a show. Not only this, but protestors also disrupted a fan event in Karnataka.

Pawan Kalyan fans damage screens during OG show


Pawan Kalyan’s film is witnessing massive pre-release buzz. As it hits theatres, shows are going housefull, with audiences flocking in large numbers. From fans erecting Kalyan’s cutouts to playing dhol outside theatres, the buzz for the movie is unprecedented.



In a now-viral clip from Bengaluru, a theatre witnessed an unusual and chaotic scene during the screening of They Call Him OG. The video shows fans of the actor-politician damaging the cinema screen with a sword during an early morning screening. No reports have yet confirmed whether any injuries occurred, but the damage to the screen was reportedly severe, halting the screening for the remaining audience.

In Karnataka too, similar scenes were witnessed as hundreds of Pawan Kalyan’s fans reportedly took to the streets to celebrate the release. Several videos from the state have now gone viral on social media, showing fans playing loud DJ music and dancing in large numbers. However, one particular video has stirred controversy. According to the viral clip, a group of protestors arrived at the celebration spot and disrupted the fan event. The video shows people stopping the DJ, throwing equipment, and breaking a tripod set up at the venue.

They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth, boasts a powerful ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy in key roles. Notably, Emraan plays the antagonist in the film, marking his South debut. The film promises a full-blown assault of mass, mystique, and madness, triggering huge interest as fans believe it will feature Pawan Kalyan wielding a Katana again.

The film was originally slated to hit screens worldwide on September 27 last year. However, its release was delayed.
