Veteran actor Sowcar Janaki, who was hospitalised earlier, has died at the age of 94. The actress was hospitalised and was undergoing treatment in the ICU after falling ill due to old age. Nadigar Sangam President and veteran actor Nassar confirmed the news of her passing away. 

Sowcar Janaki dies at 94

Nassar told the press via a statement that Sowcar Janaki has died on August 21 at the age of 94 after brief hospitalisation. “Legendary star Sowcar Janaki (94) passed away. Her mortal remains will be placed at Centoph Road, Teyampet, from 5 PM,” his statement read. She reportedly breathed her last at 1:59 PM on Friday.
