Every year, Vignesh Shivan makes sure to plan something special for ladylove Nayanthara on her birthday. This year too, the filmmaker planned a surprise for his fiance and shared glimpses of the celebration on his Instagram Stories. Besides getting a series of customised cakes, Vignesh lit up the sky with fireworks. Check out inside videos from Nayanthara's birthday surprise right here:

Nayanthara looked pretty in a yellow top and blue jeans. Vignesh Shivan hugged and wishes his ladylove.

The duo fell in love while working together for Naanum Rowdydhaan in 2015.

Vignesh also shared Nayanthara's look from her upcoming film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. "Happy birthday Kanmani, thangameyy and my ellamaeyyyy. Life with you is full of love and affection to perfection. May God bless you to remain as beautiful as you are forever!," read his caption.

For the uninitiated, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is directed by Vignesh, and also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Sethupathi. The film is set to release next month.

Nayanthara was last seen alongside Rajinikanth in Annaatthe. She also featured in Netrikann, which is a remake of Korean film Blind. She has Godfather and Gold lined up in her kitty.
