The film delves into the refugee crisis resulting from the historical tensions in the region. Interestingly, the film was initially planned to be released on May 30, however, it faced delays, pushing the release to July 4, and later further to July 31.
Earlier, the film's release delays were believed to be the heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Nevertheless, despite the challenges and delays, the anticipation for Kingdom remains high among fans. Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Bhagyashree Borse and Satyadev in significant roles. The film is made on a staggering budget of Rs 100 crores, is slated to hit theatres on July 31.
