Despite the high demand and sales, the tickets for CM Vijay's film will be capped at Rs 190 in the state. Meanwhile, the neighbouring states like Karnataka have been selling tickets for 5x the price.

Jana Nayagan makers recently announced that the movie was officially headed for its theatrical release on July 23 after facing a seven-month-long delay from its original January date. The film will also be released in Telugu as Jana Nayakudu and in Hindi as Jan Neta.
