Over a decade after he made Abhishek Bachchan play a conman in Bluffmaster! (2005), filmmaker Rohan Sippy is set to make his debut as TV producer with a show based on fraudsters. Titled, Khan No 1, the show goes on air early next year on the new channel, Discovery Jeet. It stars Tanu Weds Manu Returns actor Rajesh Sharma.

Says Sippy, "Khan No 1 is an episodic fiction show that seeks inspiration from true-life cons. It revolves around fake weddings to online shopping frauds, and even Bollywood-related cases. Rajesh plays inspector Khan, who unravels these stories for the audience. He combines humour and drama." Sharma is excited about his first small-screen outing. "I don't think any medium is big or small for an actor. Inspector Khan is an interesting character and the audience will be able to connect with him."
