Shagun Sharma, who stars in Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi, plays a vamp on the Smriti Irani-led show. Shagun recently opened out about her love life in an interview with Hauterfly. The actress disclosed that she is dating co-star Aman Gandhi, who plays her younger brother on the program. She even said that the two had discussed this before signing the show.

Addressing claims about her and Aman's connection, she stated, "These are not rumours; they are true. And we didn't start dating on the show; we'd been seeing each other before that. Earlier on a podcast, Aman disclosed that he has been in a relationship with Shagun for over a year. Shagun further revealed that when she was offered Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Aman was already cast as Ritik Virani. She further revealed that she inquired with her boyfriend whether he was cool with playing her sibling on the show.
At first, no one on the set was aware of Shagun and Aman's relationship, but after two months, the couple formally informed everyone. Shagun recently featured on Aman's podcast Set Pe Charcha, where she stated, "A very important reason that I am here is this human being. We were having numerous discussions and going back and forth. Aman and my sister were sure that I could fill this duty."
On working as onscreen siblings
When asked about working together, Shagun stated, "Playing your sister on TV doesn't affect me too much. We don't have many scenes that highlight the relationship. I appreciate that we can have lunch together and spend more time together. The bond between us has grown stronger."
Aman further revealed that, given Shagun's bad role on the show, he is frequently asked why he is dating her. Shagun also mentioned that she has received some criticism on social media for her role on the show. Shagun and Aman's dating rumours gained traction after the couple posted several romantic photos on social media around Valentine's Day this year.
