Rubina Dilaik gets emotional on Pati Patni Aur Panga, admits throwing tantrums over Abhinav Shukla’s simple birthday gift

Colors TV's official social media page features a new Pati Patni Aur Panga promo video. As the commercial begins, Abhinav Shukla bursts into tears and requests Rubina Dilaik to tell the narrative. He tears uncontrollably. Rubina then talked about how they make each other's birthdays special, recalling a time when Abhinav brought her a bag to wish her on her special day. 

Rubina Dilaik stated, "Voh ek gift bag lekar aaya aur bola 'Happy Birthday'." (He grabbed a bag and shouted, 'Happy Birthday')."

She went on, "Instead of accepting it, I threw tantrums." I asked, 'What is this?' And he said, "Rubina iss baar paise nahi the (Rubina, this time I had no money). 

The winner of Bigg Boss 14 commented, "That hit me so hard that hum itni galat jagah expectations dete hai (That hit me so hard that we have wrong expectations)."

She explained how she had bags worth lakhs of rupees that she has simply set away, but has kept a bag purchased separately by Abhinav in a safe package. 

Rubina speaks about Abhinav's emotional moment

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla were married in 2018. During their time on Bigg Boss 14, the couple claimed to have difficulties in their marriage; nevertheless, the reality show helped them strengthen their relationship. The couple is now parents to twin children.  

Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui co-host Pati Patni Aur Panga, a reality show. In one of the episodes, Rubina had revealed how kind and sensitive Abhinav is. She revealed that when Abhinav's mother got diagnosed with cancer, that was the first time she saw Abhinav break down in tears. 

Along with Rubina and Abhinav, there are several more couples, including Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal, Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, and others. It debuted on August 2, 2025, and airs every weekend.
