The highly anticipated character of Indian superstar Tabu from the upcoming series, Dune: Prophecy, has been unveiled. Set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.

Starring in the recurring role of Sister Francesca, Tabu is all set to surprise global audiences with her impeccable portrayal once again. A captivating and influential figure in Dune: Prophecy, Sister Francesca is strong, intelligent, and alluring, leaving a lasting impression wherever she goes. Once the great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace disrupts the delicate balance of power in the capital.


Speaking about her character, Tabu said, “It has been an extraordinary experience playing Sister Francesca in Dune: Prophecy right from the moment I was approached for it, and I said yes without batting an eyelid. It’s an actor’s delight to be trusted by the creators with a character that is so interesting, intriguing, intelligent and emotionally powerful. About Tabu in Dune Prophecy

In the project, Tabu will share screen space with renowned actors such as Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Johdi May, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Mark Strong, Chloe Lea, Josh Heuston and Jade Anouka among others.The series is co-produced by Max and Legendary Television, with Legendary also producing the film franchise. The release date of the show is kept under wraps.

Tabu is one of the best actors in India and has two National Awards to her credit- one for 'Maachis' and one for 'Chandni Bar'.  She is known for her work in Hindi cinema like 'Andhadhun', 'Cheeni Kum', and 'Haider' among others.  Tabu has also appeared in international productions including 'Life of Pi', 'The Namesake', and the BBC miniseries 'A Suitable Boy' . 

She was last seen in the film 'Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha' opposite Ajay Devgn. Before that, Tabu was seen on the big screen in the film 'Crew' which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon along with Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh. She played the role of an air hostess who takes part in a heist.
