The upcoming Harry Potter television series continues to expand its magical world, with HBO officially adding actor Peter Serafinowicz to the growing cast. Best known for his work in The Tick and Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Serafinowicz will play the mischievous Peeves the Poltergeist, a fan-favourite character who never appeared in the original film series.

The casting announcement has generated excitement among Potterheads, particularly because Peeves was a major presence in J.K. Rowling's books but was largely absent from the big-screen adaptations.
