A Banyan Tree initiative the festival is dedicated to musician-scholar-poet Hazrat Amir Khusrau and saint-poet Kabir. While Khusrau is regarded as the ‘father of qawwali’, Kabir has been known for unusual metre and rhythm in his dohas.
