I have been waiting for him to visit India since Lollapalooza started here. We have been only hearing rumours that John Mayer will come. Finally, that is coming true so damn excited wished it was John Mayer trio but nonetheless excited to see him live. I have many favourite songs, but I can name the albums that are my go-to albums, ‘Continuum’, ‘Room for square’, ‘Born and Raised’, and ‘Heavier Things is a nice one too.

I can hardly contain my excitement for the John Mayer concert! Being based in Bengaluru means I’ll have to make all the travel arrangements, but honestly, that’s part of the fun when it’s for something this special. The thought of being in the crowd, feeling the energy, and humming along to his iconic songs is already giving me goosebumps. From soulful guitar riffs to the lyrics that have been the soundtrack to so many moments in my life, this is one experience I wouldn’t miss for the world.

It all started with ‘Slow Dancing in a Burning Room’ at the age of six. Since then, there’s probably not a single weekend, where his finest hits aren’t enjoyed by my family and me. There’s something really special about his slaps and flicks, and to get to watch them live, alongside obvious improvisations on stage is going to be absolutely legendary. Whatever the mood and his music simply clicks. This means he’s going to ace and curate his setlist too based exactly on that, lighting up the venue be it during rains, scorching heats, biting colds, or whatever else.

I am beyond excited. It's literally a dream come true. Mayer is one of my absolute favourites, and I've contemplated travelling internationally just to catch him live. He is one of the five bucket list concerts on my list of which two, I've watched live. He will be the third one. I've been refraining from booking Lolla tickets from the last two years begrudgingly because they never managed to get Mayer to India and he is known for his Lolla performances. But I'm so glad that he is doing a solo show because I would have booked Lolla only for him anyway if he was on the bill. Some of my most favourite songs of his include Gravity, In my Atmosphere, Edge of Desire, Stop this Train, Wonderland, Neon, Who Says, Waiting on the World to Change.
