Canvassing artworks from artists at a minimal cost is a new art gallery in the township of Navi Mumbai from November 1. Slated to be called, Shaurya Arts, the gallery is an initiative of Belapur resident Bhavesh Navinchandra Parekh who hopes that Navi Mumbai will now attract myriad artists from across India.

A contemporary art gallery, the space will feature works by upcoming artists on its day of inauguration. For instance, one can enjoy artworks of Shahed Pasha, a PhD holder in Hindu Mythology, also a subject of his artworks, and JMS Mani, who likes to coalesce Indian culture with Western formalism. Other artists include Vijay Sindhur, Manash Ranjan Jena, Zakir Hussain, Sachin Jalpare and Pranam Singh.
