Enjoy an evening of dance
fri, Jan 6 Attend Ashtanayika, a dance by Dr Sanddhya V Pureccha, based on Jayadeva’s Geet Govind, an opulent poem in Sanskrit literature evoking the Rasa. The verses of the work are bountiful in music, rhythm and scintillating dance. In this production, the description of the Ashtanayikas (eight types of heroines from the Natyashastra) is depicted through the characters of the Geet Govind — Radha and her Sakhi.
