Dussehra 2023 is here to remind us of the victory of good over evil. To symbolise this message, each year, huge effigies of Ravan are burnt in India in a spectacle display of fireworks on the occasion of Dussehra. But behind the scenes of this extravaganza show is the backbreaking hard work of Ravan effigy makers. Especially in Mumbai, each year, covering hundreds of miles, Dadari Muslim artists from Greater Noida travel to Mumbai to make Ravan effigies through a series of complex processes.
