As the city welcomes the monsoon, ITC Grand Central, Mumbai is hosting 'Monsoon Tea Tales', a limited-period monsoon special tea experience at the elegant Frederick's Lounge.

The specially curated experience showcases a selection of timeless teatime favourites, including fragrant Masala Chai, crispy Onion and Potato Fritters, flaky Khari Biscuits, Butter Toast, and the beloved Bun Maska, and is thoughtfully crafted as a set menu for two.

Beat the rains with the Italian summer
While some may love the monsoon, others don't and simply want to be transported to a warmer climate. CinCin's Lemon Festa returns for its ninth edition with sunshine to transport people to Italy's Amalfi Coast this monsoon season. 

The experience begins with Crostini Limone, layered with creamy ricotta, preserved lemon and honey chilli, alongside Gamberi lla Catalana, where succulent poached prawns are paired with lemon zest and celery oil. Handmade pastas take centre stage with Taglierini al Limone in a silky lemon butter sauce with preserved zucchini, and Cappelletti al Ragu, filled with lemon and cheese and finished with slow-cooked pork ragu and Grana Padano. Guests can also savour the classic Pizza al Carciofi, topped with stracciatella, artichokes and preserved lemon, the creamy Risotto al Pollo, and Dentice al Limone, where perfectly grilled snapper is complemented by silky potato purée and lemon-caper butter sauce. The journey concludes with the signature Limone dessert, where velvety mascarpone, tangy lemon curd and delicate lemon soil come together.

Cremeso Sunset pairs cream cheese, house-made limoncello, vodka and tropical notes in a decadent dessert-inspired cocktail, while Villa Verde #2 combines gin, Italian lemonade and bubbles for a light, refreshing sip. For those who prefer deeper flavours, Nero & Limone is a rich, velvety nightcap led by whiskey and house-made limoncello, while Monte Fico layers Pisco and and Italian lemons with bittersweet notes. Rounding off the menu is Costa Dorata, where rum and tropical fruits come together in a bright, sun-soaked cocktail. Guests can also enjoy CinCin's handcrafted limoncello, served chilled by the shot or bottled to take home. The experience also includes a refreshing selection of zesty zero-proof creations.

Soak in the season
As the city embraces the rains, Drift at Nilaya Anthology introduces its specially curated Monsoon Menu designed as a wholesome European-inspired flavours and familiar favourites. 

The menu includes hearty soups, indulgent small plates, warm baked dishes, and nostalgic desserts. The highlights include the Roasted Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Toastie, a timeless rainy-day favourite; the comforting Chicken Tortellini Soup; indulgent Brie en Croûte served with smoked tomato jam; crispy Chilli Fritters with a molten blend of Scamorza and Cheddar alongside buttermilk ranch; Corn Ribs finished with Urfa chilli butter and sriracha lime rub; and Fried Chicken Fritters served with buttermilk ranch sauce and coconut sriracha. Ending on a nostalgic note is the Jim Jam Mawa Madeleines served with chai crème anglaise—a playful dessert inspired by familiar childhood flavours.

Unwind with food and activities
As Mumbai settles into the rhythm of the rains, Comorin Mumbai, an EHV International restaurant, introduces Comorin Chai Time — a new evening tea experience. The menu brings together seasonal teas, nostalgic accompaniments and regional flavours designed for rainy-day cravings. 

The menu features a selection of teas including Comorin Masala Chai, Ginger Tea, Lemongrass Tea and Kaffir & Rose Tea, alongside refreshing iced teas and frappes. These are paired with nostalgic savoury favourites such as Curry Leaf & Ajwain Shortbread, Fan Khari, Mirchi Pakoda and Ram Ladoo, followed by sweet treats including Shahi Meerut Nankhatai, Cranberry Osmania Biscuit and Cheeni Malai Toast. 

Extending beyond the table, Comorin Chai Time will also host a thoughtfully curated calendar of experiences involving books in collaboration with a local book community, and also hands-on creative workshops that bring together guests to unwind, de-stress and discover a new craft.

As Mumbai welcomes the season of rain-soaked streets and cosy cafe moments, Grounded wants Mumbaikars to slow down and savour the simple joys that make monsoons so special through its first-ever Limited Monsoon Drop. 

Inspired by flavours that instantly feel like home, the menu features comforting favourites including the Baked Vada Pav, Keema Stuffed Khari, Corn & Cheese Khari Toast, Kerala Fried Chicken, and Bhutta (Corn) Ribs with Truffle & Lime. Guests can pair these with a soothing Cutting Chai or Cutting Coffee, while those looking for something sweet can indulge in the Caramelized Sugar Brun Maska, Cinnamon Sugar Brun Maska, or the classic Bun Maska, served with rich jaggery caramel or berry jam. Adding to the warmth of the season is the cafe's signature Hot Chocolate.
