The summer brings with it the need to hydrate, and with Mumbai getting hotter by the day, Indian chefs suggest making a variety of juices to stay cool during the season

Kokum sharbatWhen you talk about hydrating during the summer season, it is impossible to miss out on the classic kokum sharbat, that has been enjoyed for generations in homes in India. So, it is no surprise when Dr Derek Monteiro, who is the manager of guest relations at Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa in Goa's Candolim says to make it. With a mix of dry kokum fruit peels, salt, green chillies, coriander, garlic pods and water, it can become the perfect thirst quencher this summer.

Kokum sharbat
When you talk about hydrating during the summer season, it is impossible to miss out on the classic kokum sharbat, that has been enjoyed for generations in homes in India. So, it is no surprise when Dr Derek Monteiro, who is the manager of guest relations at Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa in Goa's Candolim says to make it. Rhubarb LemonadeGiving a unique take to the classic lemonade that almost all of us have grown up drinking during summer, Goa-based chef Tushar Malkani, says you can make a Rhubarb Lemonade. The drink is a mix of lemons, rhubarb stalks, sugar and water, and is packed with Vitamin C, and can help hydrate during this season.

Giving a unique take to the classic lemonade that almost all of us have grown up drinking during summer, Goa-based chef Tushar Malkani, says you can make a Rhubarb Lemonade. The drink is a mix of lemons, rhubarb stalks, sugar and water, and is packed with Vitamin C, and can help hydrate during this season.
