Of Hikes And Heartstrings

Sacred Games star Kubbra Sait has had her adventurous streak on full display this month, conquering dramatic peaks and dizzying heights across the Dolomites since September 13. Her social feed has been a breathless chronicle of turquoise alpine lakes, jagged cliffs, and rugged trails. But while her followers have been marvelling at her postcard-perfect European getaway, she let yours truly in on a little secret: this journey wasn’t just about scaling summits — it was also a celebration of love.

Behind those snapshots of scenic drives through Switzerland and Northern Italy was someone very special. When I ask who accompanied her on this alpine escape, Kubbra doesn’t hesitate for a heartbeat: “My new boyfriend! Veryyyyy important information.”
For an actor, opening up about romance is rarely simple, but Kubbra is throwing the rulebook out the window. “As actors, we can become so frightened of judgement, speculation and nazar. This time, I decided to be unafraid of all three,” she reveals with candour. “Love can find you anywhere and at any age. Heartbreak is scary, of course, but clearly, I do things much scarier than heartbreak. I recently attached myself to a mountain with a cable!”
Between tackling her very first via ferrata and soaking in the vistas of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the trip turned into something far deeper than a scenic break. “I’m 40 and counting, and I’ve seen enough of the world beautifully by myself,” Kubbra confesses. “But finding someone and discovering that you genuinely enjoy doing life, and wildly adventurous things, with them is a blessing.” Braving sheer rock faces is one thing; daring to open your heart is another. By her own admission, Kubbra has done both over the last few days — and it certainly sounds delightful.

‘Sait’ like it is

“Most people visit Rome or Milan and say, ‘I’ve seen Italy.’ That’s a little like visiting Mumbai and saying, ‘I’ve seen India.’ Both statements are true and untrue at the same time. It all depends on perspective,” Kubbra tells yours truly.

“The Dolomites revealed an entirely different Italy to me: dramatic, quiet, ancient and overwhelmingly beautiful. The air, the water, the billion shades of green, the size of a rock, then the enormity of the mountain, and finally the teeny-tiny size of you — standing before these prehistoric stories. It made me cry the happiest tears.
Life is so wonderful and so full of grace. We keep waiting for the ‘right time’ to experience it, but my advice is: do it now, love. At the very least, you’ll fall in love with yourself. You’ll discover who you are, what you want, and what you’re capable of.”

Roka Done Right

You know a star-studded event is truly private when the paps don’t make the cut. And so it was on Tuesday night, when filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s daughter, Ida, made it official with fiancé Krish Agrawal. Krish may have already popped the question back in July during a dreamy Norwegian getaway, but September 22 was about bringing the celebration home to IFBE in Ballard Estate for an intimate Roka.

The father of the bride-to-be casually brushed it off as “a warm and fun time with family and friends,” but the guest list screamed pure Gen-Z royalty. Ida rolled in with her certified cool-girl clique — Khushi Kapoor, Aaliyah Kashyap, Ahsaas Channa, and Kareema Barry — turning the spectacular space into their personal playground.
Naturally, polite formalities vanished the second the music kicked in. The party raged into the wee hours, descending into peak Bollywood euphoria the moment Chaiyya Chaiyya blasted through the speakers. No flashes, no red carpet chaos — just unfiltered vibes and serious dance floor credentials.

Pillow Talk

Leave it to our pace spearhead to remind us that gold medal preparations aren’t just about laser-sharp yorkers — they’re also about precision-engineered bedtime luxuries. In Japan for the Asian Games campaign, Jasprit Bumrah used a quick break in team duties to embark on an intensely serious quest for a custom-moulded orthopaedic pillow recently.
Jasprit Bumrah
Naturally, trusty teammate Axar Patel was on hand as chief heckler and personal videographer, giggling behind the scenes while a specialist meticulously measured Bumrah’s cervical alignment. The reel’s pièce de résistance? Patel deadpanning straight to the camera like a seasoned prime-time reporter: “Cameraman Axar Patel ke saath, this is Jasprit Bumrah.”
Miles away, wife Sanjana Ganesan was thoroughly entertained by the Japanese foam trials. She jumped right into the comments with a barrage of laughs, teasingly asking if her Jassi genuinely flew “all the way to Japan” just to go pillow shopping.
Sanjana Ganesan
But Bumrah, armed with the lightning reflexes of a man who dismantles world-class batting lineups, unleashed an unplayable domestic bouncer in response: “I won’t share the pillow when you ask for it.” Marital diplomacy, it seems, ends where personalised memory foam begins. Opposing batsmen beware — Bumrah is hunting gold with flawless neck support and zero intentions of sharing.
