Releasing an album nowadays is like committing suicide: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

He mesmerised music buffs with his soulful Sufi renditions and made Bollywood songs such as Sajda (My Name is Khan), Teri Ore (Singh is King), O Re Piya (Aaja Nachle) and Jiya Dhadak Dhadak (Kalyug), among other instant chartbusters. But taking a break from films, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is ready with his new album, Back 2 Love.

“I wanted to take some time before I come out with an album. Times are changing and people’s preferences are changing as well. I wanted to come with something that people like. I wanted that freedom, so I took my time,” says Khan, whose album will release on June 9.
