With an expected crowd of over 12,000 students from 80 colleges, there&rsquo;s plenty to look forward to at Fantasies -- SIES College of Commerce and Economics&rsquo; festival that hopes to showcase the best of the city&rsquo;s college talent across three adrenaline-packed days of entertainment, information and fun.

&ldquo;Until last year, we had 40 events, aided by 350 volunteers but this time around, it&rsquo;s shot up to 70 events, with 550 volunteers chipping in,&rdquo; informs Krishna Nair, chairperson of the organising committee for Fantasies.
This year, since the college celebrates its Silver Jubilee, the committee decided to pay tribute to the resilient character and spirit of Mumbai, while choosing their theme.
The festival, touted as one of the largest that central Mumbai has seen in recent times, will be spread across three days, instead of two, while the finale day&rsquo;s events will move out of the college premises and will be held at India&rsquo;s largest auditorium, Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium.

&ldquo;All of this wouldn&rsquo;t have been possible without support from our Principal, Ms Minu Thomas, our teachers and volunteers,&rdquo; he adds. Rattling off the must-catch events, Nair picks the masterclass hosted by popular guitarists and drummers, courtesy Rolling Stones, and crowd favourites like street dance, fashion shows, investigative crime, sports events (Survival of the Fittest) and fine arts events (Cutting Chai).
&ldquo;We&rsquo;ll end proceedings on a high as we&rsquo;ve roped in India&rsquo;s biggest Alternative Rock band, Indus Creed; we have Coshish too,&rdquo; he shares, before taking our leave to head back to the festival office, to gear for D-Day.
