Mumbai is known as the city that never sleeps. And for its residents, always awake and on the go, there is no greater comfort than food. It is no surprise, then, that Joseph&rsquo;s Tandoori Kitchen in Bandra, has gained a loyal following among night owls in the neighbourhood.
<img title="Tandoori Chicken" src="http://images.mid-day.com/images/2017/feb/09tandoori.jpg" alt="Tandoori Chicken" /> Tandoori Chicken Started by brother-sister duo Sunil and Anita D&rsquo;Souza, the three-year-old delivery and takeaway service features an extensive menu that promises to satiate all tandoori cravings, and then some. &ldquo;Some of our dishes, like the Tandoori Chicken, the rolls, and the Chicken Tikka Biryani, are popular. Recently, we also added a few Mangalorean and Mughlai specialties to our menu,&rdquo; says Anita.
Apart from its variety, Joseph&rsquo;s Tandoori Kitchen offers value for money. The portions are massive, enough for two or more to share. Sunil says, &ldquo;At about 10 inches long, even the rolls we serve are nearly twice the normal size.&rdquo;

Pics/ Shraddha Uchil Before we take our order and leave, a quick peek into the kitchen reveals that unlike many similar joints we&rsquo;ve visited, Joseph&rsquo;s values its hygiene. The counters are meticulously wiped clean after every round of preparation, and staffers wear hair caps at all times. We sampled the Hyderabadi Chicken Tikka Roll ('200), which has tender chicken tikka pieces in a mildly spicy green masala, rolled inside a delicate roomali roti. The Tandoori Chicken ('320 full, '180 half), meanwhile, is among the best we&rsquo;ve tried. Slightly charred and smoky, the meat still retains its juices and is perfectly cooked. We also get a Fish Tikka (price as per catch), for which chunky pieces of rawas (Indian salmon) are coated in the flaming red batter and then dunked in the tandoor. The Chicken Tikka Biryani ('400 full, '260 half) is a simple dish, with tender chicken tikka pieces flavouring the lightly spiced rice.

As if reading our minds, Anita says, &ldquo;We see a lot of the younger crowd. Many pick up a roll or any other snack before they head out clubbing.&rdquo;
