While on a call, the doodler in I remembered when she scratched out patterns, and re-decorated photographs of Bollywood divas in newspapers. Fine artist Joyeeta’s Timeless series creates a fun old-world aesthetic with black and white cutout pictures of Bollywood actors. After pasting them on paper, she embellishes with imaginative watercolour symbols. She has captured Shabana Azmi, Sridevi, Nutan, Sharmila Tagore, Aparna Sen among others. Quite the upgrade!
