From the famed elephant of Gharapuri, to the tigers of Warli, fauna has been an indelible part of the Indian art aesthetic. Yet, there has been a distance between the empathy on the canvas to its presence in an urban India where community animals are ignored. Presented by the Burgundy Art Gallery in support of Youth Organisation in Defence of Animals (YODA), The Kindness Project bridges this disparity with a fundraiser exhibition of over 30 artists to showcase the role played by fauna in our collective imagination.
