It was the experience of caring for differently abled family members and later, their loss, that led Tatyana Dias and Christina Joseph to come together to start The Veruschka Foundation in their memory. "The deal-breaker for most family members is the thought of what would happen to their [differently abled] sister or son when they die," says Dias, a neurobiologist by profession.
