Attend an event aimed at inculcating a habit of reading in children

In a first, Scholastic India and Podar International School are coming together for a series of literature festivals, Booked, for children aged between eight months and eight years. Spread over two days, it aims to inculcate the habit of reading in children while also reviving the lost art of traditional storytelling. "Authors and storytellers will conduct sessions and a puppet bootcamp that will enable children to make their own puppets and use them to tell stories. A book hospital will also display old, torn books and educate them on how to take care of their books in an interactive manner," says Avishek Roy, marketing head, Scholastic India about the highlight events, adding that there will also be muppet show.
