Despite cutting down on my caffeine dependance, it’s hard to let go of my love affair with filter coffee. But let’s face it: my lazy self will never get around to buying a filter, making the decoction the night before, all for a cuppa. Instead, I usually order from the nearest udupi.

Recently, I discovered a way to give into kaapi cravings at any time — a ready-made decoction. Priced at Rs 290 for two 220 ml bottles, all I had to do was mix with hot milk and add sugar. It’s a tad less kadak, but can be remedied by adding more decoction.
