Lenny Pearce brings techno nursery rhymes, mascots and confetti to Mumbai with his Toddler Rave

Techno music, a DJ setlist, and nursery rhymes are at the heart of Australian composer Lenny Pearce’s Toddler Rave World Tour’s Mumbai stopover today

Imagine the cheers; the stomping feet; the kaleidoscopic colours; and the wild chaos of goo goos, gaa-gaas, and giggles. While musicians always target a young audience, Lenny Pearce’s dance parties are led by toddlers in onesies. As part of his global tour, he opens the first kids’ concert in Mumbai today.

While he started with breakdancing, it was a few years ago that Pearce released his album, Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes, a techno upgrade of the popular nursery rhyme. “I wanted to create a real concert experience that families could enjoy together. I remix songs that kids already know and love, and then combine them with big visuals, characters, confetti, and balloons,” he shares. Open to children below the age of 16, and guardians accompanying them, the concert aims to please.
