Support cancer patients Designer Maheka Mirpuri has been supporting the cause of cancer awareness for long. The fifth edition of her annual charity gala, #Canfly, will be in aid of the underprivileged at Tata Memorial Hospital. The theme is butterflies, and several artists are creating works around it.

The line-up includes Burhan N, K Shrikant, Mohammed O and Umakant K (artwork in pic). Also part of the auction is fine jewellery, outfits by Mirpuri and a contemporary home decor art piece on offer. Back community development Attend an affordable art show organised by Secure Giving to support various NGOs. Initiated in 2001, Art for Concern will feature the works of approximately 45 artists including Ram Kumar, Jogen Chowdhury, Rabin Mondal, Shuvaprasanna, Manu Parekh, T Vaikuntam, K Laxma Goud and Lalu Prasad Shaw (artwork in pic) among others. Proceeds from the show will support grass root programmes related to health, education and community development. Build a school The Nargis Dutt Foundation has completed 36 years of working in the areas of health and education, especially cancer treatment for the underprivileged. Pigment, their annual fundraiser, aims to raise funds to make a zilla parishad school in Palghar. Curated by Bina Aziz, the artworks are a mix of originals, serigraphs, lithographs, sculptures, photographs and silk rugs from Kashmir by Nikita Padora. The artists include young and renowned names like Arzan Khambatta (work in pic), Brinda Miller, Achyut Palav, Anjolie Ela Menon, Nayanaa Kanodia and Jatin Das.
