Have you ever tried your hand at making meals? We are not referring to regular cooking, but making meals quite literally — with your bare hands, and with clay, instead of edible ingredients. This month, Brew Haus Cafe in Dadar West is collaborating with Small World, a platform curating unique and quirky boutique events for learning and connection, to host a special workshop for miniature food art, where participants can learn how to craft small versions of their favourite foods.

“The workshop will be available on all weekdays in October, except Tuesdays. Each session is for two hours,” shares Shreya Sanjay Dubi, the workshop host and instructor from Small World. “The cafe has introduced this activity to offer a creative and engaging experience for its patrons.” Not only is this a great way to unwind for participants, but also something intriguing for non-participants at the outlet, creating a livelier atmosphere for those who frequent the space for both work and leisure.

No prior experience is needed for this workshop, and, in fact, you do not need to bring along anything with you, except your creativity. “Participants will learn how to create and paint realistic miniature food items using clay, and will be guided step-by-step [by me], with all the materials provided on-site,” Dubi says.

After sculpting your own mini-meal, you are most welcome to take it home as a keepsake. You can simply flaunt it on Instagram, prop it up on your fridge or the wall, or even use it as a pair of earrings. So, whether it is thalis, South Indian favourites, desserts or fruit, get both your mind and taste buds satiated.

Till October 31; 2 pm
At Brew Haus Cafe, Bhavani Shankar Road, Dadar West.
