A few hours away from Mumbai’s rush, an outdoor trail by Vagabond Experiences offers a refreshingly different adventure — an overnight escape into nature built around stillness, simplicity, and the night sky. Named Plateau & Planets, at this easy trail near Matheran, participants will be led to the Garbett Plateau, a location chosen for its minimal light pollution and expansive views.
The journey begins late in the evening, where participants will assemble at Neral railway station before heading toward the trailhead. From there, a short forest walk, lasting for under an hour begins. The trail is beginner-friendly, making it suitable for first-timers. Walking through a dark forest at midnight, guided only by headlamps, adds a quiet sense of adventure. Along the way, participants may encounter nocturnal wildlife such as frogs, insects, or small reptiles, making the journey as engaging as the destination.
