Padmini recall

When I landed in Mumbai four years ago, the sight of a few rattling Premier Padmini kaali-peelis made me feel at home. My fondest childhood memories, after all, are in my father’s battered blue Padmini that broke down every second day. With the few remaining models dwindling away, I was happy to chance upon a digital diary of the car that features different iterations of the vintage beauty, old advertisements and fellow Padmini lovers, including Rajinikanth. Good to know I’m not the only one who thinks the car is an emotion.
