Muzaffarnagar: A 35-year-old farmer was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons at Bhora Khurd village in the district, police said today.

Ashvani Sharma was shot dead by unidentified assailants while he was on his way to the fields last evening, SP (Rural) Alok Priydarshani said. "When the farmer did not return to his home, his family started his search and found the body which sustained bullet injuries.
