A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 16-year-old boy in Gosaipur area here, police said today. The incident occurred yesterday when the victim was alone at her home, they said.
"The 16-year-old boy has been arrested and a case has been registered under various sections of the IPC and under the POCSO Act," said Inspector A K Singh."Finding the girl alone, the accused entered her room and raped her. The girl narrated the incident to her parents when they returned home," Singh said.
"Her parents immediately took her to Vindhyachal Police Station from where she was sent to a local hospital for medical examination," he said.
