Absconding Mumbai builder nabbed in Nigdi

City Crime Branch officials yesterday arrested a co-owner of the plot on which the Mumbra building that collapsed more than six months ago was being constructed, and handed him over to the Thane police. Khodai alias Mohammad Isa Quddus Chaudhari was arrested from Nigdi area on the outskirts of Pune city.
“We were looking for suspects involved in the Dr Narendra Dabholkar murder case when we received a tip-off about Chaudhari. He was taken into custody from Bhakti-Shakti Chowk in Nigadi and has been handed over to the Crime Branch officials from Thane,” said Inspector Sachin Sawant of the Pune Crime Branch.
