Bhagalpur: Bodies of two women, including a school teacher, were recovered today from different areas in Naugachia sub-division of Bhagalpur district today.
Confirming the recovery of bodies, Naugachia Superintendent of Police (SP) Shekhar Kumar said both the cases are being investigated.
The dead women have been identified as Guriya Devi (30) of Narkatia village and government middle school teacher Hemanti Devi (50) of Parbatta village. "The case of Gudiya seems to be of suicide though her parents have registered an FIR against her husband Bihari Sharma, accusing him of murdering her. Hemanti's husband Rajesh Mandal has accused four persons of killing her.
The police is conducting raids to arrest all the accused," said the SP. Hemanti had gone to block office from school yesterday, but did not return home. Her body was found near Vikramshila Bridge this morning. Her, as well as Gudiya's body have been sent for postmortem.
