The police have arrested a 24-year-old law student on the charge of molesting his friend at Bavdhan on Saturday night.

The arrested accused has been identified as Javed Ahmed, a resident of Kothrud, who is originally from Jammu and Kashmir.

The complainant, a 20-year-old girl who is also a law student, lodged the FIR against Ahmed at Hinjewadi police station.

According to the police, a few days back the young woman had gone for a party at a friend’s place in Bavdhan.

Ahmed approached her outside the party venue and made sexual advances. She alleged in her complaint that Ahmed had alos been harassing her over phone for the past few days.

 Police Inspector S P Bhosale of Hinjewadi police station said, “The girl lodged a complaint with us on Saturday night. We are investigating the case further.”
