According to the preliminary investigation, the accused and the victim were childhood friends but had ongoing disputes linked to family matters, police said

A dispute over Rs 1,500 between childhood friends on Wednesday night turned deadly in Mumbai’s Shivajinagar area, leading to the death of a man, police said on Thursday.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 11 pm on Wednesday at MHADA Colony, Building No. 34-B, within the limits of Shivajinagar Police Station in eastern Mumbai. A 24-year-old man died after allegedly being attacked with a sharp weapon.
