Kurar firing case: Mumbai Crime Branch nabs suspect from Delhi, recovers weapon

According to the police, the Unit 12 of Mumbai Crime Branch arrested the accused, identified as Nihal alias Guddu Khan. He had allegedly conspired to open fire with the intention of killing a person in Kurar on September 28

Days after firing in Kurar area of the suburban Mumbai, the Crime Branch on Tuesday said that it has arrested then culprit involved in the incident.

According to the police, the Unit 12 of Mumbai Crime Branch arrested the accused, identified as Nihal alias Guddu Khan. He had allegedly conspired to open fire with the intention of killing a person in Kurar on September 28.


The officials said that after receiving confidential information, Crime Branch sleuths laid a trap, intercepted the accused and nabbed him in New Delhi.



The police have also seized weapon from him, said an official, adding that the accused has been handed over to Kurar Police for further investigation.

Police said further investigations are underway to determine if the accused has links with larger criminal gangs or previous cases against him.
