CIDCO officer, peon held while accepting Rs 22,500 bribe in Navi Mumbai

According to ACB officials, the action followed a complaint from a citizen whose registration work was pending under CIDCO’s 22.5 per cent Scheme for project-affected persons

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested a senior City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) official and his peon in an alleged bribery case linked to a pending land registration matter, officials said.

The arrests were made by the Navi Mumbai unit of the ACB during a trap operation carried out on May 13.
