Santosh repeatedly stabbed his wife with a knife during an argument at their home in Varap of Kalyan taluka on Thursday night, he said.

Santosh, who had stabbed himself, had suffered serious injuries, the official said. Both were taken to a local hospital, where doctors declared Vidhya dead, reported PTI.

The accused, who has been booked for murder, was later shifted to the Kalwa civic hospital in Thane city, the official said.
