One injured after six vehicles crash near Nitin Bridge in Thane, traffic movement affected

Initial reports suggest that one vehicle rammed another from behind, triggering a chain reaction in which several vehicles crashed into one another, officials said

A six-vehicle collision took place in Maharashtra's Thane on Monday afternoon, leaving one person seriously injured, officials said, adding that the traffic movement on the route was affected after the accident.
The accident occurred around 1:47 pm near Nitin Bridge, opposite the Tata Motors showroom on the Nashik-Mumbai Road, when vehicles travelling towards Thane lost control while descending the bridge, they said.
