A Thane court acquitted a Mira Road man and his female friend in a 2015 case involving allegations of repeated rape, unnatural sex and forced abortion. The court held that the prosecution failed to prove the charges after the complainant remained untraceable throughout the trial

A Thane court has acquitted a 40-year-old man and his female friend on charges of repeated rape, unnatural sex, and forced abortion. 

The court, while acquitting the duo, cited that the prosecution failed to prove the charges, as the victim remained untraceable throughout the trial, news agency PTI reported.
