Kolhapur: Veteran communist leader Govind P. Pansare and his wife were shot at near their home in Sagarmala here Monday morning, officials said.

According to preliminary information, around 8 a.m. two unidentified assailants accosted the couple on their morning walk and fired at least four rounds from close range before fleeing.
