The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-malad-police-probe-alleged-witchcraft-attempt-to-scare-elderly-woman-23595702" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Malad Police</a> in Mumbai have launched a crackdown on inter-state arms smuggling gangs and arrested two men in connection with the case.
The police have also recovered country-made guns, foreign <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/punjab-amritsar-police-arrests-six-recovers-4-03-kg-heroin-and-two-pistols-23595756" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">pistol</a>, a rifle, and live cartridges from their possession.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sandeep Jadhav and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Hemant Sawant, a police team conducted raids in Gorakhpur, where they recovered three country-made guns, a foreign-made pistol, two magazines, 10 live cartridges, and a 12-bore rifle with 10 rounds from the Maruti Suzuki <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/car-catches-fire-on-mumbai-coastal-road-traffic-affected-23595713" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">car</a> of one of the accused, Ravindra Pandey alias Raghvendra Pandey.&nbsp;
Pandey is a Gorakhpur resident and was traced after Dhiraj Upadhyaya, the first accused in the case, was nabbed by police with a country-made pistol.&nbsp;
