Pushpendra was arrested by Delhi Police from Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district, police said. Pushpendra Sunday morning opened fire on Yogesh Jain, 55, a property dealer, and attacked his wife Poonam, 50, with a stick in Jyoti Nagar in east Delhi. Police said he got the weapon from his friend.

The attack occurred around 10 a.m. soon after he proposed to the elder daughter of the Jains to marry him. As the girl rejected his marriage proposal, Pushpendra vent his anger by attacking her parents.
